AAA

Cardinals 4 A’s 0 (4 innings)

Led by starter Abram Carpenter, the Cardinals combined strong pitching, stout defense and timely hitting for their second win of the season. Ren Yamasaki and Bennet Eyler added a scoreless inning each to complete the combined shutout. In the batters box, Henry McPherson's late single sealed the victory for the Cardinals. For the Athletics, Oliver Sturtevant was impressive in his first career pitching appearance with three strikeouts in one inning of work.

Giants 6 Reds 2

In a hard fought battle, the Giants outlasted the Reds. Cameron Briggs double play - pop fly plus tag out was the highlight defensive gem of the game. Ben Seidel hit a triple to score two runs.

Cardinals 5 Grays 1

The Cardinals rolled to their third straight win behind the strong pitching of starter Nile Meleis. At the plate, Meleis went three for three with a double, a run batted in and a run scored. Tommy McNamara joined Meleis with a perfect day in the batters box with three of the Cardinals sixteen hits.

Gabriel Dubey made his first career pitching appearance for the Grays, holding the Cardinals scoreless in his one inning of work.

Cardinals 3 Rangers 1 (5 innings)

The Cardinals topped the Rangers in an old fashioned pitchers duel. Starters, John Aoki of the Rangers and Zeke Kinsey of the Cardinals matched scoreless frames through the first two innings. Sully Beckman led the Cardinals rally with a big hit to left center to score one. Pool Player, Bodhi Thier of the Giants had a late run batted in to seal the victory for the Cardinals.

A’s 3 Reds 0

Strong pitching defined Saturday’s game as the A’s defeated the Reds 3-0. Ella Bea Blitzer started for the A’s, striking out four over two hitless innings. Henry Wang's RBI single in the third sparked the A’s offense, which tallied eleven hits. Eli James and Ethan Gruber pitched in relief to secure the shutout.

The Reds managed three hits but couldn’t break through. Both teams played error-free defense.

Grays 7 Rays 6 (5 innings)

It was a tight game through the first three and a half innings before the Grays broke it open with five runs in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles from Grant Maddex, Dominic Palmer, Jamie Guillory, and Casper Cashen. The Rays battled back in the top of the fifth inning culminating with a bases-clearing triple by Porter Kenyon. Grays pitcher Casper Cashen dug deep to close the game with two strikeouts and save the win for the Grays. The Grays continued their double play streak with two. The Grays have executed at least one double play in every game to start the season.

The Grays called on Bode Fiedler, Graham McPadden, Tristan Ryan, Dominic Palmer, and Casper Cashen to pitch one inning each.

For the Rays, it was Wesley Thompson, Osian Twomey, James Canepa, and Leo Zelazny on the mound.

Minors

Padres 3 Marlins 1

The Padres edged out the Marlins 3 - 1 on Tuesday night in a taut and well played game at Boyle.

The Marlins pitchers were strong, with Oliver Parrett starting and pitching two scoreless innings, and Quinn Ensley following him up with a couple strong innings. Raidan Fernandez was on base twice with a hit and a walk for the visitors.

It was a 0-0 game in the third when Oliver Lynch from the Padres hit an RBI single to open up a slight lead. The Padres added runs in the fourth and fifth innings and their pitching made it stand up, closing out the two hitter for the home team.

Mariners 5, Pirates 4

Wales Davison delivered a thrilling walk-off hit, sending a deep drive into the outfield in the bottom of the sixth to secure the Mariners' victory. Wales also pitched two scoreless innings in relief. Jack Schierberl got things going for the Mariners in the second with an RBI single and also made a key defensive play at second base.

For the Pirates, Wyatt Burke made two crucial tags at catcher, preventing go-ahead runs. Stefen Sigg provided excellent defense at third base, making key plays to throw runners out at first and home.

Pirates 9 Giants 3

The Pirates rallied late in the game to pull away from Giants in a very competitive and well played game. Alex Supple pitched two strong innings allowing only one run and George Ellis and Stefen Siggs closed out the last two innings not allowing a run. Offensively, Otto Fackler led the team with three hits followed by Burke Hall with two hits.

For the Giants, George Christodoulo and Henry Lin delivered big hits. On the mound, Doc Davis struck out the side in a scoreless inning.

Tigers 7 Padres 3

The Tigers earned a hard-fought win over a strong Padres team. Valentino Papale had a big day at the plate, going three for three, while Teddy Luce chipped in with his first hit, a big double, and run batted in of the season. The Padres battled tough, led by Alex Sawyer, who went two for three and threw two solid innings on the mound. Great effort from both teams in a fun and competitive game.

Mariners 16, Marlins 6

Henry Cheen led the Mariners with five runs batted in on three hits, including a two-run triple in the fourth. Leo Sassouni chipped in with an RBI single and solid defense in the outfield throwing a runner out at second base from center field.

For the Marlins, Will Deuyour had an RBI single and multiple key plays on defense including a great dig at first base to end the first inning. Eli Schroeder doubled to left field and drove in two runs.

Majors

Sea Lions 7 Phillies 1

The Phillies' Jordan Miller was strong on the mound for two innings Stone Strader added two hits as the Sea Lions took down the Phillies 7-1. The Sea Lions made a number of great defensive plays highlighted by a great catch by Nat Thompson after the Phillies' Jasper Pearson hit one almost to the fence. Les Sollner and Cole Pritchard saw their first action on the mound this season and combined pitched two scoreless innings.

RVLL Giants 4, Brewers 6

In an inter league matchup, The Brewers got themselves into a hole giving up four runs in the first inning highlighted by a crushing line drive to the fence by Cooper Campbell. The Brewers held their nerve and battled back led by the strong pitching of Alex Meleis, Holden Ryan, and Cody Chittenden who combined to give up just one hit and no runs over 5 innings. Cooper Campbell also pitched two strong hitless and scoreless innings.

The Brew Crew racked up ten hits up and down the batting order highlighted by Milo Davies going two for two. The web gems of the game went to Ezra Pope-Meyer who made several spectacular plays at thrid base.

RVLL Yankees 3 Yankees 2

Max Vreede, Charlie McIntosh and Laszlo Winn all had hits for the losing Mill Valley Little League Yankees in a tight low run affair. Max and Charlie also pitched well.

The Ross Valley Yankees squad put three high quality pitchers on the mound.

Yankees 12 Giants 2

For the Yankees, Jonas Jackson had four runs batted in, including a triple that cleared the bases. Laszlo WInn, Calvin Boehle, and Zach Cornelius each had two hits. All Yankees reached a base and the team had twelve hits.

For the Giants, John McClatchey went one for two at the plate with a run batted in.

Red Sox 6 Phillies 3

In a game that featuring great pitching, the Red Sox beast the Phillies, 6-3. The Phillies', Matthew Cao led with six strikeouts, while the Red Sox' Tate Shackleton and Cameron Welstead each recorded four strikeouts, and Paxton King added three.

Trailing by three runs in the fourth inning the Phillies tied the game when Jasper Perssen hit a bases-clearing triple to center field.

The Red Sox' offense bounced back in the fifth inning when Paxton King hit a two-run go-ahead triple, followed by an RBI single from Tate Shackleton that brought King home. This proved to be the difference for the Red Sox.

The Red Sox offense was powered by Abdullah Mullah, Cooper Maddox, Cameron Welstead, and Paxton King, each contributing two hits. The Phillies' offense was led by Beau Bremer and Jasper Perssen, who each had one hit.

Sea Lions 2 Brewers 1

In a well played, defensive battle the Sea Lions edged the Brewers 2-1. Liam Koss had two hits and a run batted in for the Sea Lions and closed the game from the mound with two scoreless innings. Wyatt Martin and Ezra Pope Meyer each had a hit for the Brewers.
